Using the Job Tracker

Organise every application with the Kanban board — from first look to offer.

Updated: 3/15/2026

Managing a job search across multiple platforms is chaotic without a system. The Xeito Job Tracker gives you a visual Kanban board to track every opportunity from the first spark of interest through to offer — all in one place.

What Is the Kanban Board?

The Kanban board is a column-based view of your entire job search pipeline. Each card represents a single job, and each column represents where that job stands in your application process. As you progress, you drag cards from left to right.

It’s the same method engineering teams use to manage their work — applied to your job hunt.

The Five Columns

Interested

Jobs you’ve bookmarked but haven’t applied to yet. This is your shortlist — a holding area for opportunities you want to evaluate before committing to an application.

Applied

Jobs you’ve submitted an application for. When you move a card here, Xeito prompts you to log the application date so you can track how long each response is taking.

Interview

Roles where you’ve been invited to interview. This column is designed for multi-stage interview processes — add notes after each round to keep track of what was discussed, who you spoke with, and what the next step is.

Offer

Congratulations — a company has made you an offer. Cards here can store offer details including salary, start date, and any equity or benefits information so you can compare if you receive multiple offers simultaneously.

Rejected

Jobs where the process has ended without an offer. Moving cards here helps keep your active pipeline clean. You can filter rejected roles out of the main view while keeping the historical record.

Moving Cards Between Columns

Moving a card is straightforward:

  • Drag and drop a card from one column to another.
  • Or open the card and use the Move to dropdown in the top-right corner.

When you move a card to Applied or Interview, Xeito will ask if you want to log a date and add a note. These prompts are optional but highly recommended for keeping an accurate record.

Adding Notes and Details to a Job Card

Each job card stores more than just the title and company. Click any card to open the detail panel, where you can:

  • Add private notes — Interview preparation, impressions after a call, questions to ask in the next round.
  • Log contact details — The recruiter’s name, email, or LinkedIn profile.
  • Set a follow-up reminder — If you haven’t heard back after a week, Xeito can remind you to send a chase email.
  • View the original job listing — A link back to the source posting so you can review the job description before interviews.

Notes are private to your account and never shared.

Free Tier Limit

On the Free plan, you can have up to 5 active job cards in your Kanban at any time. Cards in the Rejected column do not count toward this limit.

If you reach the limit, you’ll be prompted to either archive an existing card or upgrade your plan.

Upgrading for Unlimited Jobs

Upgrading to Premium (€29/month or €58/quarter) removes the 5-job cap entirely and unlocks:

  • Unlimited saved and active job cards
  • Full Kanban board with all columns
  • Chrome extension for saving jobs from external sites
  • CSV export of your tracker data

You can upgrade from Settings > Billing at any time. Changes take effect immediately.

Exporting Your Data

On Premium, you can export your entire tracker as a CSV file. This is useful for offline tracking, sharing with a career coach, or keeping a personal record of your job search history.

To export: go to Job Tracker > Settings (gear icon) > Export to CSV.
